Zombies destroyed my metal supports which I have neglected to maintain over the past horde nights/ random hordes thus destroying my house, my items were crushed under it all and I was on foot holding it down like a G. then here comes a damn Feral and 2 dogs. Done-zo. So I am starting a new. My heartless gf laughed at my tears as I was eaten alive so I'll start again tomorrow. I'm just mad sad about it and wanted to whine. See y'all tomorrow. I'm thinking focusing mostly Agility and Fortitude, but what stats, perks, books, and equipment should I look at to boost this as much as possible? I'm talking min-max here. The only rule is go fast. I am speed. Kachow. Our general horde-night strategy is for me to basically kite on the battlefield where I'm outrunning the zombies and in the thick of things while my partner (Perception/Intelligence) is in a turret guarded sniper tower giving support and direction. | New player here, have some questions. Posted: 04 Jun 2020 07:52 AM PDT I've been playing this game for about a month now and I've been having the time of my life. I picked it up randomly by watching a video and liking what I saw, so I don't know much about the game at all coming in and had to learn most of it by myself. There's a few things that I haven't been able to figure out and I was hoping this community can help with answering some of my questions. The current version is Alpha 18.4, apparently this game has been around in Alpha for many years. When they finally update to a new version, would I lose all my progress and have to start over? Right now I'm on day 120. Just met some Demolisher zombies who are terrifying, but I'm in a bit of a rut. I'm still working on my Perk Books but its very slow going now. I've visited a lot of the interesting places I've been wanting to go but I wonder if there's more. Other than making a super base like some of you have, is there any endgame content that I can try that's only accessible to stronger players who've been around in the world for a while? My main base is currently at the Army Base near Red Mesa. I'm finally branching out to creating separate bases for when I need to drop off stuff after a looting session and don't want to fly all the way back to home. What are some other good places to take over? I'm in the Navezgane map by the way. Speaking of the Army Base, I've been there a while and zombies have taken a beating to some of its walls. I want to fix it, but I want it to look the same as when I found it since I don't like the big blocky patches I've put on there. Is there any way to make that kind of thinner stone wall? Also, can I recreate the barbed wire on top? So far all I've been doing is making iron bars and putting them in place of the barbed wire, but they don't look right. Again on the subject of walls, I thought I understood how upgrading works. But I had a stone wall of sorts with like 2500hp. I "fixed" it with my Stone Axe, now it only has 1500hp! What gives?? How is an electric thing made? So I need some kind of power provider, I think I have those, I have a Generator Bank and a Battery Bank. Then I need some kind of wire to connect that power bank to another device, and I need a Wire Tool I think. And finally, I need an actual device to power. Is that all the steps to creating something electrical? Is there anything else I'm missing? Back to walls, I understand how to shape blocks. But there are other options I've never been able to figure out. I know what Shape does. But I don't know what Advanced, Simple, On Face, and Copy Rotation does. At all. Nothing really shows up when I click on them. Am I ever going to meet any other living humans other than the Traders? Do I finally get into the Slick Willie Clan or the Crazy Jake Clan or get my revenge on the Duke? Can I move water? I want to make a pool or a lake inside my base so I can refill my empty water bottles any time. I've seen some people with bases and water inside them, but I don't know if they build a base around the water or move the water somehow to their base. I noticed that Traders mostly give out quests near them. The range for Trade Bob in the Desert seems to be the Shamway Foods Factory in the West and the Hospital in the North. Trader Jen in the Wasteland can give me quests in the Shotgun Messiah Factory and go as far as the Hospital. I'm guessing the more northern Traders will eventually give me quests in the Snow region. But are there any special quests that are given only by certain traders that would be really cool? Sometimes when I'm flying, I kind of hit an invisible wall in the sky. What the hell is that?? Is there a reliable way of getting bird eggs other than looking in nests and buying them from traders? I got the Super Corn. I thought it was really cool as a kind of secret ingredient. Are there any other secret items that are only in a few places on the map? But I'm also disappointed, I can't use the super corn in any recipes?? Kind of a let down, I was hoping it can replace regular corn in all the recipes so I can make super versions of them. Last question. So early on in the game, when I looted a place, I basically destroyed it so I know I've already looted that place. I've since found out that quests in that location refresh the location to new. And if I never destroyed something like random garbage or cabinets, they will refresh their items in time. Is there any way to restore the stuff I've destroyed without a quest in that location? Now I don't destroy random garbage in roads I use a lot because I get to loot it again in a few days, but there's a lot of houses I've totally destroyed and are never coming back. Its making me very careful to leave places as I've found them. Edit: One last question, and probably the most frustrating one. I have Animal Tracker 4, but this is a problem that's been going on since I got Animal Tracker 1. Sometimes I'll kneel and the 20 second timer radar will tell me there's something nearby, but there's nothing on the map! Is this a glitch? It really bothers me, I've been stuck on this stupid Kill the Farm challenge for a week! [link] [comments]  | ||
