    How to disable and enable console commands in RAT 7D2d

    I don't want people coming onto my server with the ability to run XP commands get commands. But I want to be able to give others the ability to do so. Does anyone know how this can be accomplished? My googling didn't go so well.

    Best way to fall down large bases in A17?

    I'm just getting back into 7 days after playing on console. I made a large base with a hatch elevator as usual, but I realized hay doesnt negate fall damage anymore.

    So is there another way to go about avoiding fall damage for tall bases? I'd hate to use a ladder now. Is a 1x1 hole with water a good alternative? Also how deep would it need to be?

    Fortitude perks reduced with no debuff active?

    My Intrinsic Immunity, Pain Tolerance, Healing Factor and Slow Metabolism perks have all been reduced by one level but I don't have any active debuffs? I'm new to PC AND Alpha 17 so I'm still trying to figure everything out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Looking for any feedback on this one. Video is time lapsed and set music also znation ffs. Astraea and I spent a good chunk of time this week (4 days) tweaking rendering and rerendering. Would really appreciate any notes any of you might have.

    Unrelated... sort of. . We'll be streaming permadeath insane nightmare always run in about 2 and a half hours on twitch (8pm MST). Different world from what's in the video, but on day 3 or 4 and have a good start.

    What Stuff Do You Want Added In The Future?

    What would you like to see?

    My personal top wants are:

    1. Return of log spikes
    2. flame trap (I saw a mod that added metal flame shooting log spikes, that would be pretty neat)
    3. handheld flamethrower weapon
    4. elevator system so I can have an elevator in my big tower without using that janky glitch
    5. Airplanes? I know we already have helicopters, so the system is already in place for the most part. It'd be neat if I could have a landing strip.
    6. Hang gliders. Would allow me to escape high locations if I really needed to. Would be useful to have on the top of my base if I needed to escape from the top. Yes, I always build really high.
    7. Zipline gun. Would allow you to travel down from a high point. Could have mods that allow it to work on an incline to reach higher elevations, or a mod that increases the range so that you can travel farther with it. Another mod could allow it to pierce stronger materials like steel or concrete.

    tagelthebagel's server newest build

    I don't know if this is okay to self advertise. But I have a dedicated server "tagelthebagel dedicated 200% loot 500% exp" I haven't done a server before and just wanted to put it out there if anyone wants people to play with we have a decent group of 3-4 people that are on. So feel free to drop by. Also if anyone has any suggestions on things to add I would willing take suggestions and try to figure out how to add features and such in it.

    Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll try to keep it up and running.

    Looking for Alpha 17.2 trader tips

    It's been a while since I've played 7DTD and thought I'd try out the new alpha. I've been able to research most stuff on my own but I was wondering, what's some good stuff to sell to the trader now? It doesn't have to be as OP as the old "sell-stacks-of-machete-blades" trick of A16. It just seems now the trader doesn't buy much and what he does buy, he doesn't buy much. Thanks

    RAT 17.2 tutorial setup

    Is character/world moving via steam possible?

    Hello, my brother and I have been playing 7 days for a while now on the same steam account. I have finally decided to get my own personal account so not to interfere with his stuff. I was wondering if I could move my progress (character and world) from the old account, to my new without corrupting the data.

    WARNING LONG POST AHEAD!

    Hello there! I would just like to say that I personally LOVE the crafting survival genre and that 7dtd is the closest thing to my perfect game, so here is some ideas that i think will improve the game.

    1. Update the graphics. Yes I realise that good graphics don't make a good game, but im not just talking about resolution and textures (even though they could still be improved) but i mean more in the terms of models and animation, currently they are very clunky and weird looking (like for example jumping! your legs move up but your body and arms stay still or just the overall mining animation is very weird) and the modelling could also do some work as well such as much more zombies models instead of seeing the same 10 zombie models over and over again, the game would feel a lot more refreshing and less repetitive.
    2. overall performance. Now this is something that can make or break a game. It doesnt matter how good the game is but if it runs at 10fps games, no one is going to play it. NGL 7dtd isn't terrible with performance but it could be MUCH better .
    3. a better melee system. I know they've recently updated this and it is much better but it still is pretty boring, its still just a heavy attack and a light attack. I think there should be 3 new things added such as a block (reduce damage but if blocked perfectly, you can stun the enemy), a kick or push ( if timed with stunned enemies you would kick or shove them to the ground) and a throw weapon (just a fun addition)
    4. better end game content. currently a lot of people simply get bored very quickly, once you get a bike, your pretty much done, just keep doing the same thing over and over again, get loot for 6 days then upgrade your house or anti horde night bunker on the 7th day, I honestly dont know what else you can do, yes there are some more things such as quests in a17 but they're very quick and very generic. I would love to see stuff like finding books or notes that include clues towards missions and or certain amazing loot or FIND A BIG ASS ZOMBIE BOSS!
    5. a better mining system. Currently mining is one of the most boring things ever, I would much rather have to go into caves and or mining systems to get those awesome loot and much better materials (more iron as well!) and brand new materials such as gold, brass, titanium etc... , this would make the overall game less repetitive again. a brand new change of scenery.

    Now here are some additional points that don't need to be added but i would really like to see.

    1. change the block sizes. Currently, 7dtd has the same block size as minecraft, your character is 2 blocks high and 1 block wide. I think the block should be slightly smaller, such as you being 3 blocks high and 2 wide, this would allow this game to be not just another clone of minecraft but more its own thing.
    2. add a prone system. This goes together really well with my previous point. if you go prone, you will be a lot slower (66%slower?) and can go through 1 block high gaps, if you're crouched you will be at 33% slower and can go through 2 block high gaps, and standing is just normal as is.
    3. hand crafted weapons. Just like in fallout, you can craft your own weapons and attachements. These would have to be made at a gun crafting station (requires one real gun to craft) and all real weapons would be much rarer and much more powerful.
    4. A new building mechanic. Again trying to distance itself from minecraft, i think i've found a new system that i think would be perfect for this game, a combination of 7tdt and the forest. first of all, instead of picking blocks of your hotbar, you would go into a build menu ( a bit like the forest but not shit.) and would place down items within the block limit (meaning you cant place wall literally anywhere you wanted to, this stops the very weird looking house with very weird proportions. Again this would still include 7dtd blueprint mechanic where you build the frame of your house first and then upgrade it to wood and then a fortified version.
    5. hair/beard growth. this is really stupid and unnecesary but i loved it in RDR2 and would love to see it in this game xD, your hair and beard grow naturally over the course of the game and would have to craft a haircut station? i dont know what to to call it xD.
    6. change the armour system. this game has a weird system that all clothes and armour pieces give you stuff like heat and cold protection and armour, i think it should be simpler than that, first of all, you should have a simple skin creator where you chose how your character looks and it wouldn't affect heat or cold. then in game you would have to find and or craft armour that specialises in heat or cold protection or health protection etc...

    anyways this has been my list on the things that i think will improve the game.
