    For Christ's sake, the game is near 6 years old and there's no way to sleep through the night? Not only would it add a sense of realism and immersion, (as there'd be fatiguing throughout the day, etc), it also means you don't have to sit dreadfully for about 20 mins in the dark with nothing to do. Who's with me?

    My friend can’t join my game

    Me and my friend were playing a P2P game and at one point while exploring not too far from base he died, for some reason his game crashed when he tried to respawn, every time he's tried to rejoin since then I get these three messages: Player has joined Player has died Player has left

    Any clues on what could be wrong or how to fix? Edit: he says his game is stuck on the starting game screen

    Lucky looter = profit

    Just started a new RWG game and put first 5 ap into perception and lucky looter. First day - pistol 6, auger 6. Don't waste ap on other perks early, spend frist 3-4 days on looting and first horde u can run and shoot whole night with shotgun as I did on simiral game on Navezgane.

    Chaos PVP / PVE Server now live! UI / Backpack mod 1.5xp 2xLoot active admins no tele

    Hey there everyone -
    Every couple of months me and the brother get the itch to run another 7 days server - this one is east coast/active admin and fresh with just simple UI mod, 60 slot backpack, and buff timers. Currently on day 5. We encourage pvp and "anything goes" except excessive drop-mining or obliterating giant loot spots. If you're looking for a pvp based server or somewhere stable for the next couple of months to build a new home come hop on over and play with us :)
    We strictly do not believe in teleporting on a pvp server - so this will be au natural! Just search for "chaos" in the server list and it's Chaos PVE/PVP East Coast :) Cheers! See you in game!

    Idea for a guards modlet

    I have no clue how to write mods I honestly wish I did. But I have seen mods that implement guards into the trader zones while taking away trader invincibility and it got me thinking.

    They would work similar to an auto turret without the need of power . Place them on certain spots of your compound . Settings like "passive , won't attack /defensive , only attack attackers/aggressive, attack anything within range "rip wow

    Outfit them with armor and weapons same way as a turret . Interaction menu to allow healing, set attack mode, outfit gear.

    Question about world names/seeds (jejeye mt, etc)

    Random world is random. Navezgane is the same map as always. But the rest of the maps? (Jejeye Mts, etc...) are they random? Or if they are fixed, os there a way to check the maps?

    [XBOX] Treasure maps

    I play the game with loot at 200, and usually when I find treasure I get a shit load of ammo and at least ten thousand casino tokens. Is this any different in regular loot settings or pc version?

    Its been several alpha versions since I last played seriously and I have a few building questions.

    TLDR: My main question is would it be more cost and time effective to build a base out of rebar frames and upgrade from there or is it better to build from flagstone and then upgrade that all the way up? The end goal is either reinforced concrete or steel blocks. There are other less important questions but this is the main one. Some things on the wiki appear out of date so I don't know what to trust.

    Now to the meat of the post. Any and all advice is appreciated!

    So I haven't played seriously in awhile but I decided to pick it back up and play A17.4 and actually keep it going for awhile. I've experimented with defensive structures so I mostly understand the pathing AI but Im not 100% sure about efficient resource management when it comes to actually building your base. I have a starter crafting base made from flagstones with spikes to protect from random wandering enemies and I fought the first 7 day horde in a small killing hallway I built and lined with barbed wire to slow them down. My end goal is a crafting bunker protected by some type of horde defense structure (havent decided on my design yet) built out of steel or reinforced concrete in all of the important areas.

    Here are the questions I have.

    1. Probably the most important to me, what is the most time and resource efficient path to reinforced concrete and then steel beyond that? According to the wiki you can get to concrete from flagstone blocks (easy and relatively cheap early game base material for me) but the wiki also states that rebar frames get upgraded directly to reinforced concrete which seems like the most resource efficient way (since flagstone uses the same materials that concrete mix requires) with the catch being you just need excess iron for the frames.
    2. As far as zombie pathing AI goes, I know they treat stairs and ramps ok but do they also view ladders as pathable areas or would a ladder just trigger there destruction ai to tunnel towards me?
    3. As far as any power systems, should I build multiple smaller power systems for each defense system or is a single large power system that runs everything in my base more preferred? Im still learning the electricity system so Im not 100% sure how to set it up the most efficient way.
    4. Ive seen a few videos showing different traps in use. What are generally the more effective powered traps? It would appear that the most effective powered traps for consistent damage would be electric fence poles and dart traps also appear to be effective. Blade traps having durability seems to limit their usefulness even though I love the idea of them (though they are also space hogs). Turrets also seem good but Im unsure if the resource cost justifies them as anything other than a last ditch defense.
    5. A last question I guess would be is it a bad idea to have my crafting base connected to my horde defense? My plan would incorporate an "open" path all the way up until my actual base and I don't plan to hunker down inside my crafting area during horde nights so My thinking is that my crafting base should be relatively safe. If things go south I can always lead them away from the base. I like the idea of having a larger interconnected base instead of having to leave home every 7 days. It would also make it easy to resupply if I run low on ammo or forget a crucial item during a horde night.

    So I just started playing again on PS4 and was wondering if there was anything new. I've seen the traders now. I think their prices are outrageous but w/e. But what I'm really wondering is if there is a way to build the machete. I've found one but it was crap compared to the other stuff I've found.
