2 big reasons to update to A19

About the console/telltale fustercluck, mods should make a megathread to avoid spam

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 07:07 PM PDT

I see the same posts asking about why consoles don't have updates and the usual rants about it, I usually try to explain what happened to whoever asks, and I've reached a point where I just copy paste the same answer, so maybe moderators should pin a message, or make a thread to explain it more clearly to those who don't know why they can't have updates (which isn't really hard to google search, but still) and avoid spam. Or not, just my two cents, I'll keep explaining it to them regardless.

    A19 first thought

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 10:51 AM PDT

I realized that the simple things in this game make all the difference to me. I was in a poi and heard zombies wake up upstairs. I turn around to see 3 zombies fall from the roof onto the ground and actually have to get back up. It's the simple things i didn't realize I needed.

Got lucky and found some bike parts in A19.

For the players who have experienced a new alpha release before, what's your gut on when a stable version will be dropped?

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 08:15 PM PDT

Does the amount of bugs feel like more than normal?

I didn't play until 18.4 but I'm super excited about a19 so I'm really curious to know.

    Question about console updates

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 04:43 PM PDT

First i wanna say put down your down votes this isnt asking about when the next update will come out im playing it on pc .But a question asking for a better explanation. So can someone explain the console situation to me. Form what i get for it is the dev team got the rights back form telltale and just decide to give up on the ps4 and xbox versions. IS this correct ? Cause if so it doesn't fill right for them to charge money for a half baked abandoned port .

Spoiler Alert: Don't scale up Dishong with a sprained leg.

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 05:50 AM PDT

So last night was first night on A19. Bf and I had a big brain plan to hit Dishong tower and get dank loot.

No dank loot. Both of us fall and sprain leg. Fuck it, let's go straight to the top. Die while jumping up frames. Surprise, you take 1 hp damage when jumping with a sprained leg. Trek 2km because we're dumb fucks that didn't move our bedrolls. Get back to the D, get half way up the D, game crashes. Game reloads, we fall from the tower, 10hp. Dog attacks out of nowhere. Die again. 2km again. Give up on the D. Looks like parkour has added value.

No bugs though, other than floating stones and floating zombies.

Also, spent motor tool parts on the impact drill but it *still* **uses** ***stamina***. Fuck you devs.

Silver lining is being about 50 steel off from a 4x4 on day 4.

    Today will be better.

    A delayed look at AL19

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 09:41 PM PDT

I have been so excited for ALPHA 19, but am literally writing this as I sit waiting for it to finish updating. I am getting married tomorrow and know I won't have much time in the next.... Short while to play.. so I said there is absolutely no way I am not at least giving it a load up!

Hope everyone is enjoying it!! What's the coolest update you've noticed so far?!

Update: Holy smokes.. this world has been loaded for less then 5 seconds and it is already gorgeous.

A perfect example on why I LOVE the new early game progression in A19...

    Posted: 30 Jun 2020 04:34 AM PDT

A perfect example on why I LOVE the new early game progression in A19...

It's day 4 (90 minute days), and up until a few moments ago I would have never thought of trading in my level 2 wooden club, with a spike mod attached around it, for anything. After looting a reinforced chest in a house I had just raided forever, that mindset has just been challenged. I have just looted a T5 stone sledgehammer.

I'm going clubs, there's no way around that. But I've yet to invest a point into Pummel Pete, and while I want to get the feel for clubs again, that T5 stone sledgehammer though... Never before have I been so torn on primitive items. I honestly love it. :) A19 doesn't just look different - it feels different as well.
