    Dear Acme Gyrocopter Company

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 10:01 AM PDT

    To whom it may concern,

While I am generally pleased with the performance of your new Gyrocopter Mk1, I am writing out of concern for what I believe to be an unsafe control configuration. Before turning to the courts for satisfaction, I feel it only right to give you the opportunity to compensate me for your negligence and what I believe to be a deliberately designed defacto unsafe product.

Given the generally sluggish response of the astonishingly limited controls for an aircraft of the gyrocopter's configuration, I believe it is criminally negligent, nay, inhuman, for you to position the "Make Go" control and the "Fall to Your Death" controls right next to each other. At the very least, one would expect the gyrocopter to come equipped with a seat belt, which would prevent an unintentional un-assing of the vehicle from a great height.

If I do not receive a confirmation of your receipt of this missive by Tuesday, I shall proceed to sue you for, ONE MILLION DOLLARS.

How do you craft minibike handlebars? Do you need to find the schematic? Whenever I go to a workbench it's blacked out and has a wee book beside it

Shoutout to the FP for the atmosphere work.

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 07:21 AM PDT

I've wanted to comment on this for quite awhile but never really got around to it. When playing I've noticed some very excellent design choices that add to the atmosphere and make help make this game excellent. Specifically I think the sound design and visuals are amazing.

When driving or running around I've noticed that both the bears and the small boulders share a common shape. I've often thought I've seen a bear out of the corner of my eye only to have it turn out to be a boulder. There are other examples too of textures and shapes that are close enough together to cause some tension here and there. There have also been bears I've rolled up to without realizing it right away.

Another example is sounds. Walking through the grass is very reminiscent of the snake movement sound. Or when using a wrench you can notice a slight "echo" of a sound that sounds like a zombie hitting a block. With both there have been many times when I've been focused on what I'm doing and either missed the sound of an actual threat or thought I heard a threat that wasn't there.

IMO both the use of visuals and sounds like this add a good amount of tension, at least to the early game when I'm not rolling T6 everything with 1,000s of bullets.

Question About Alpha 19 Experimental Build

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 08:58 PM PDT

So I very recently made the jump from the console version to the PC version and was wondering how I go about accessing the experimental build once it's available. Also, when it goes stable, does it automatically update via steam or is there something I need to do?

So I started a new world on pregen one and I'm clearing a house and trying to do it stealthy with a primitive bow and the zombies seem a lot stronger. I've upgraded my archery once because that's all the points of gotten so far. Did I accidentally change something?

A19 Release Notes 7 Days To Die - Quick Run Down Of the Official A19 Release Notes for 6/26

Does anyone know what version of the Unity engine A19 uses?

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 12:17 PM PDT

I'm hopeful it is higher than A18. That version of Unity has significant bugs on Linux. I'm also hopeful for better Vulkan support, but won't hold my breath.

Upgrading server from A18.4 to A19

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 10:04 AM PDT

    Hello!

I just created a 7DTD server for the first time on A18.4. I have decent knowledge behind server admin things but I do not know if it is possible to upgrade between versions.

So my question is, how would we go about upgrading our world/server to A19 without causing any problems? I heard that people just start fresh because the changes are too drastic, but of course we would like to keep what we have as well as try out the new things that A19 has to offer.

I understand if it isn't possible though, there was a LOT of new things introduced in A19!

    Thanks!
