| What do we know about the long-term roadmap for the game? Posted: I understand that the current goal of the devs is to improve quality/performance (ex, HD textures and actual LOD), but what comes next? Are the devs going to implement an actual endgame instead of expecting players to endlessly chase asymptotically improving gear stats? Are there any rumors as to what this endgame content might look like? I've heard rumors that there will be player-owned NPC settlements added to provide automation and to defeat horde AI cheesing tactics, but never anything substantiated. | Played for way too long but it was so much fun Posted: I recently played a new game with brother with the Darkness Falls mod and boy o boy. It's been a while since I played 7 Days and it was a real treat. We played in person and I had meant to leave around 6 pm but I stayed all the way until 9pm even though I sorta had some homework to do. Totally worth it tho. | Posted: I recently heard that TFP made changes to how much damage the vehicles do to animals & zombies. I know for the last couple of Alphas, you could mow down most things in the 4x4, but in a recent episode, I was trying to kill a zombie bear with a 4x4 and couldn't take it down after repeated hits. If you want to watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSi0faqaNIQ If not, the results are: Bikes do nothing Minibikes and Motorcycles sometimes do 1 damage. 4x4 does 10-15 damage at full speed. Looking through the XML files, it doesn't seem to have an "entity damage" attribute on vehicles now, so if there is an easy way to change it back to the way it was, I'm not sure what that is yet. Posted: so i am fighting the day 28 horde tommorow. i have a full cobblestone wall around my base, i am around lvl 30-40. weapons- lvl 3 tac AR, lvl 1 ak 47, lvl 5 hunting rifle, lvl 4 double barrel and a load of molotov cocktails + pipe bombs. should i be fine? | Posted: Hello, I posted a couple of days ago about having issues with combo packs and nitrogen. I made a nitrogen world and added the most recent combo packs and the game play was horrible. I mean the lag was incredibly slow. It was unplayable and even on the slowest settings the game was unplayable. If I play vanilla with a nitrogen generated world. No problems, and I can run the game on ultra settings. In my previous post, a couple of people commented on the size of the generated map and that combo/nitrogen was outdated. But, I was on YouTube just watching Jawoodles channel and he clearly had the combo packs on his most recent series before darkness falls. I have over 300 hours into 7d2d, but the same generic poi's have made me lose interest. Can anyone suggest any fixes or mods that can add extra prefabs/poi's? Thank you! I'm currently using GameServers for Vanilla, but didn't see the option for DF. I can run one with some friends, which is what I'm doing now, but when I sign off it kicks them out.
