Posted: 26 Jan 2019 08:33 PM PST Playing in A17 (b9). Suddenly I realize I'm taking fall damage that I shouldn't be taking. Falling 8 blocks with parkour level 5 is damaging my health. For comparison, a fresh character takes fall damage at 7 blocks. I should be safe falling from 12 since the description says it adds an additional 5 blocks to safe fall distance. Something is broken here... [link] [comments]

In MP, any way to tell in-game time out of game? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 09:00 PM PST Hello. I recently started up my first multi-player server. I'm wondering if there is a way to monitor the in-game day and time, out of the game. Any help would be appreciated. To be clear, I have access to a command line for the server. Posted: 26 Jan 2019 07:08 PM PST Can zombies walk through concrete pillars 50 in A17? If yes are there any good alternatives to the concrete pillar 50?( looking for something I can shoot and loot through but zombies can't get in) thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jan 2019 11:27 AM PST Just bought Yeah Science tier 4, it says 'Advanced Fuels' I was hoping this would unlock Bio fuel or something but I cannot see a way to make a man made fuel without oil shale? Was Bio Fuel removed in one of the updates? Sorry I haven't play much since 7.0 [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jan 2019 02:48 PM PST I just looted working stiff beside diersville and need to build a bunker to store my stuff until i can bring it home and wanted to know how deep and with what i should make my bunker to at least be safe until morning. Thanks. [link] [comments]
New server: 4X4 Mounts PvP / 4X XP / 250% Loot Posted: 26 Jan 2019 06:03 PM PST Howdy folks, just wanted to drop a post here about a new-ish server, started leasing it about a month ago, currently on day 140 or so. The post title is the name of the server, as implied the starting kit has been modified, and a few other details:
We've had some regulars, but looking to up the population and get more PvP encounters going. If interested come check us out. Note: sorry if this is against the rules, based on the side bar it looks like this is allowed once a month, so I should be within the guidelines. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jan 2019 06:37 AM PST Given the revised skill and leveling system, what is the best way for me to get an auger around lvl 40-50 before I unlock it in the skill tree. Traders? Maybe working stiffs? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jan 2019 05:53 PM PST I was wondering if i could get some tips and recommendations for playing 7 days to die :) [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Jan 2019 05:18 PM PST Hi, I was wondering when you get near death trauma it lowers some perks by 1 or more. You still have the option to buy that skill but it's at a lower price. Am I buying the same perk I already have bought or am I buying the next level up? Sorry if this is confusing I'm trying my best to explain it. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jan 2019 01:28 PM PST I'm interested and looking into making prefabs for random gen worlds. Just wondering how to start off making these and how to implement them into my game files. [link] [comments]
Is there a way to aim a mobile spotlight on console? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 05:05 PM PST First time playing around with these and been searching like mad but can't find anything about it. Placement thingy rotates it but can't for the life of me figure out how to aim it up or down. Is that possible on console? [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jan 2019 01:02 PM PST After playing the Long Dark for a while now, i can not help but feel disappointed how 7D2D is evolving. I will try a simple comparison between both games: TLD you start without any resources, constantly struggling between hunger, cold, health degradation. As you find a house or shack, every item you find is like pure gold. Matches, water, cooking pot, books for fire, branches, or boxes for starter wood. You are mindful of the time and your actions, as they drain daylight. Just starting a simple campfire feels like a task ( failure to start, wind ... ) that drains a lot of your resources, as the fire burns books and kindling fast ( realistic ). Hunting a rabbit gives you food to survive, but be quick, because a stone only knocks a rabbit out for a few seconds. Get it and snap its neck fast. Preparing food takes time and you feel the danger of the elements ( snow, rain = cold, predators like bears and wolfs ). You prefer to stockpile non perishable foods that you find. Breaking open a car ( if you have a crowbar ), takes time and opens you up for a predator looking to snack on your behind. This is your experience in day one. Your cold, hungry and are a easy prey for everything out there. Now, compare this to 7D2D... You start with nothing. Withing a hour game time, you crafted yourself clothing, stone axe, bedroll, a bow, a club etc... You are already able to take on any predator the game offers with a measurable change of surviving. Looting a house now takes more time in A16/A17 7D2D with the sleeper zombies. Those zombies that quickly become boring as you wonder why every house POI has 15 or 20 Zombies, some in the most illogical or hidden spots ( false attics, false cabinets ) and you spot fake floors a mile away after one gameplay session. And then you get to the loot room, guarded by a few higher level zombies. Cooking becomes a matter of trowing a few logs on the fire, as you cook your 3 days worth of food that you got off a dear. Food that does not spoil... You chop down trees faster then a professional wood cutter, you mine bolders like your hands are made out of dynamite. This is your first day in 7D2D. You are filled up, can take out a zombies and predators ( and survive ) and are stacking resources very fast. This to me is what is wrong with 7D2D, the game rewards are so strong from the start, that very quickly your feel nothing matters. Clearing simple and normal POIs turns into a boring quickly and the game needs to ramp up the difficulty to give you challenges. You do not feel like a survivor but a semi-Herculean god ( the XP perk system does not help to mitigate this issue ). In my vision the game needs more of a re-balance where items have more value. Looting a house on Day 1 or Day 30 still need to feel like you get a lot of valuables out of the house. Food spoilage needs to be in the game. Cooking needs to have risk / rewards. Just leaving a campfire going with 100 wood and having perfectly cooked food shows why the game does not work as a survival game. There is no risk of burning your food. The time management for food comes down to kill, harvest, instant cook, eat. No wast, no losses, very few risks ( no smell, no predators drawn to your cooking, no burned food, no badly made food = less calories, magic cooking skills from perks, no rewards for finding cooking books ). As a result you get very fast stacked with food. You need to be able to make things but they need to feel like a reward. Matches for campfires are needed. You can get them as loot in houses ( kitchens ). Or you need to find a crafting stations and have the skills to make them ( later game stage ). Cooking pots need to degrade with use, so you have a reason not to scrap the other pots you find. Clean! Water needs to be more valuable ( radiated water? ). Resources that you get from rocks, trees need to be cut back a lot. So you build smaller but in return the game zombies need to be balanced a bit more. Make Zombies feel more like a risk. So the game needs less zombies to render and they feel more personal, instead of cannon fodder now. Maybe my vision is too harsh on people but people tend to burn out on 7D2D in Single player because of the late game stage content. I understand the Pimps tried to make the first game part more longer with the original A17 but this was put together badly ( and faced a community reaction ). The reason for this is simply. The changes all felt illogical. You eating a deer every hour did not fit the game. The fact that you got so much meat, so fast was already the main balance issue. The fact that you can kill a deer in your first day is a even more big issue. Traders that are so full off resources. Chest of loots in every POI. Every City feeling the same, with the same loot, auto scaled enemies, no matter if its in your starting area or 10 miles away. I feel like TFP's while redoing A17 never understood where the real game issues lay with the game. It all starts with every element in the game making sense and balancing out accordingly into each other. While i do think that 7D2D does not need to be as hash as The Long Dark but it can learn a lot about interacting elements. Making the player feels like finding cloth on day 10 can still feel like a reward. A more realistic 7D2D may actually give the player more long term content then how the game is currently done. Hacker Joined Game And Ruined It. How To Recover? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 12:34 PM PST Hey. I've playing by myself. I was about at day 28 and level 85. Someone joined out of nowhere. I'm one to welcome everyone, so I didn't want to really boot him. It got weird a minute or two in when half of my stuff disappeared from my base. I had a lot of good stuff. It'd be hard to recover. He then showed up at my base with an AK-47 and a jeep, killed me and looted my body. I left. At this point, I'm thinking about going to cheat mode and trying to give myself back as much stuff as I can remember that I had. Is that my best bet? Should I just lock my games from now on to make sure people like that don't join? Any other thoughts on things I should do? [link] [comments]
Is there a xml setting I can copy or a modlet to make the game more casual for a solo/new player? Posted: 26 Jan 2019 07:01 AM PST I am trying to figure out the whole xml file stuff but it is kind of hard without knowing the game thoroughly. Thanks! [link] [comments]

What’s the best way to get money? Posted: 25 Jan 2019 10:41 PM PST In A16 I'd sell literally everything. I was crazy about money. A decent compound bow would sell for a few thousand. I can only sell this one for 37. So I see the selling price of everything is lower. If I sell a large multitude of firearms, I'll get around 400. Insane, when an iron pick axe he's selling is a few thousand. So it seems getting money has gotten harder, so how do I go about getting lots of casino tokens? [link] [comments] |
