So, about the vending machines... Posted: 27 Jan 2019 04:59 PM PST One of the oddest things in 7 days is that for some reason all of the vending machines in the area have been retrofitted to accept casino tokens as payment, not cash. There is cash in the game... Let us use that cash for something other than scrap paper or a sale chip. The more I think about it as I write this post, the casino tokens as payment makes no sense in a post apocalyptic world but hey, at least we got traders. [link] [comments] | ||

Dissapearing bicycle and toolbelt bug Posted: 27 Jan 2019 05:53 PM PST So here I am minding my own business dropping my nice bicycle when suddenly I cannot move. The bicycle is frozen ,a null pointer exception object not found is thrown and I have to relog to the server. When I relog I find my toolbelt items missing ,my bicycle gone and my disappointment ever increasing. [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 27 Jan 2019 07:52 PM PST Hey ya'll. I'm pretty sure this is my first time posting. I just wanted to ask if anyone's done figuring out what the best money-makers are in the game. I started putting items into a spreadsheet and looking at them by profit-over-cost of dukes, but I also know that certain materials seem a little more rare than their duke amount might suggest, such as Duct Tape and Glue, so I figured some opinions would be nice. Currently, my go-to is Hunting Knives -- one Lvl6 Knife at a cost of 8 Forged Iron, 4 Wood, and 2 Leather gives 1680 Dukes. That's pretty big returns. Interestingly, this is the same returns you get on any given piece of Lvl6 leather armor, but each piece costs 7 Leather and 1 Duct Tape, which could be a deal breaker for some. Someone posted that Oil Shale is super common in the desert, and that Gas Barrels make good money out there. It's just not as feasible for me in the snowy area, since each barrel costs 600 Gasoline and gives 350 dukes. Anyone done some work in this area yet? [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 27 Jan 2019 03:34 PM PST Maybe an unpopular opinion but I honestly think most of the changes are better compared to before. The change from durability numbers from 600, 567,... to 1 2 3 4 5 6 is amazing imo. Much less tedious. The mods are amazing, I love how each mod gives damage so that your weapon gains power with each tier. You see a clear difference in tool/weapon tiers just by having the additional slots for mods (and the durability ofc). I actually like the harder to craft mods and I think consuming the recipe is fine because it makes these mods that more valuable. The skill system is great but needs a bit of work, just some things I'd personaly change is that you get an additional point every 5 levels, make bladed weapons accessible sooner and make the intelligence tier less mandatory somehow. I always end up spending like 70% of my points there (also nerf living off the land geez xD). Besides that it's really nice. I'm trying to work the 15% chance to explode their heads with 15% chance to decapitate for that ~27% headsplosion combo >:D The quests are fun as fuck, I love the sneaky zombos and the ground that cracks beneath you. Adds more depth to the game. You have to think 3D instead of the linear monotony. The vehicles are nice as well too. All in all I think they're going in the right direction. I wish they'd add more of the quests. For example "Kill the wandering Zombie Sasquatch that lurks around Navezganes forest areas" (and let him actually wander a set path) or "Hunt the legendary Yeti in the snow!" Stuff that would drop unique loot that's not craftable. Shit like that. But most of all, I'd like a win condition. Make it last long, make it harder for higher difficulties, make it optional. Something like "Craft a helipad and a chopper before you get overrun Survivor, escape this hell and find a new place to live!" Make it cost 6 terragodzillion resources idgaf just so I can work towards something. After day 49 you just go aimlessly around the map waiting for the next horde. Can't connect to friend's server. Posted: 27 Jan 2019 06:52 PM PST Hey everyone, I was wondering if ya'll could help me with an issue I'm having with the Alpha 17.1 (b9) update. I logged in the other day to try and play on this update for the first time and found that all of my friends could connect to each other, but I'm unable to connect to them. To help this along, hopefully, I'll list out things I've tried so far. (Not necessarily in order)

Has anyone come across functional workbenches? Posted: 27 Jan 2019 05:14 AM PST It seems like every workbench I've come across is just a "Destroyed" workbench loot object. Ok no problem, then I get to the settlement/trader which I recall usually had facilities for the player to use.. go figure, these are destroyed as well! No option to repair with wrench either, just appear to be a loot object. Randomly generated map, not the default. You do at least have the means of breaking them down for parts to make your own...assuming you have them unlocked. [link] [comments] | ||

What are highest trader quest tiers and rewards? Posted: 27 Jan 2019 10:17 AM PST I have maxed my quest perk (whatever its called) and did a tier 3 quest. The quest involved traveling 9 kilometers both ways and killing a dozen zeds. The reward was around a 1000 dukes, 5k xp and highest choices were a steel pickaxe and a shotgun. This is my issue: In the time I did all that I could have mined and produced more AK47s than a Russian arms factory and gotten several levels through mining with no risks of dying. Does anyone know what are the highest tiers and rewards you can get and are they worth it? [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 27 Jan 2019 09:54 AM PST 50 hours on this savegame and no luck in finding this goddamn thing, have found 5 or so beackers and tool & die sets, fuck load of glasses of different kinds, but not this extra rare smoke (i have loot bonus 300). Sooo, pls tell me someone where should i look for to find it? Patchnotes for 17.1 say that they should spawn now on traders, but no luck for me so far. Also checked loot.xml, it says cigars have to spawn in shamwaySafe and brewerySafe (what the hell is that?) also there is few lines about cntNightstandClosed and dressers, wooden desk, iron desk, but probability is =".3" (supposed to be 0.3 i guess, mb it doesent spawn because of that ?). Where have you guys found your cigars (if you have) in which poi or containes ? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
