    Do I Need to Make a Dedicated Server In Order For My Friends To Play With Me?

    I was just wondering if i need to make one for my friends to connect or when I open the world and just hit "invite friends" through the game which then invites them through steam, if that is all I need to do?

    If I dont need a dedicated server then what are the benefits of having one?

    • Does the world click by days whenever no one is logged in?
    • Can I log into the server on the same machine I am playing the game on?
    • Will it be hard to run an instance of the game AND the server on the same machine? (I have a good pc)
    • Is it hard to add mods to a dedi server?

    If I dont have to do this I wont and will just invite through the game unless it is an all around better way for me and my friends to play together

    Ravenhearst crashing

    I bought this game a few years ago and couldnt get into it. Picked it back up last week and it's such a better game now a days. The skills feel alot better. The biggest thing I love is the way buildings are now. The layout pushing you in one winding path is fun to explore and working to that giant loot pile at the end. I've never had a game keep me so engaged with just basic looting before.

    Modded Weapons Broken? in A17.3(b18)

    We modded in a melee weapon (based on vanilla machete) to use as a grass cutter (almost no damage, super high attack speed) and it worked just fine in A17.1 but now it doesn't seem to work anymore. It appears in game correctly, has right model, right hold, right icon, just does nothing when you click to attack. I even double checked the code against the current vanilla machete and I can't seem to find the problem. Everything about it works except the ability to actually attack with it.     The auto reload function.

    Hello, new to r/7dtd and I have a question. Does anyone know how to turn off the reload on some guns when they run out of ammo.

    The blunderbuss's ~4 second reload fucks me up whenever I use it.

    (Same with crossbows)

    I would just like to reload whenever I like instead of instantly.

    Anyone knows options or mods.

    Long Map Download Times

    How long is long? and, is it bad? Just uploaded a custom map to a server, its a 16x16 whopper made with Nitrogen world builder. Very few cities/towns but they are large. Everything else default.
