| Posted: 03 Jun 2019 03:43 PM PDT I don't see this talked about, and I've never seen it in any Youtuber's videos, but I'd just like to share a tip for getting more early game stone. Most people go for the surface boulders. You know, the big rocks that give you a little bit of coal, potassium nitrate, lead, and iron, but mostly stone. I don't like going for those early game because what you mostly need is stone for arrows, and your inventory is so limited without becoming overencumbered, so having those extra resources on you that you won't need until much later in the game is a waste of space. On top of that, I am a bit of a hoarder in this game and I hate throwing things out of my inventory that I know I'm going to need lots of later, such as lead, coal, and potassium nitrate. So, instead, I like to go for the large boulders that are made of stone voxels. These only appear in the forest and snow biomes AFIK, but they're usually pretty abundant and actually give you MORE stone per hit (even with a stone axe) than hitting the smaller boulders does, plus the only other resource they might give you is a little bit of iron ore. That's much less wasted inventory space in the early game, and it can always be scrapped so you can make an iron reinforced club or something early on too. Even better are the pallets/piles of bricks you generally find in large amounts around construction areas. You can usually find them alongside the bags of cement and the blue cobblestone... things. They give even MORE stone per hit with a stone axe than the stone voxels will, plus they don't give you any iron ore at all, it's just pure stone (maybe a little bit of wood if they're on a pallet). They're my favorite to chop up early-game for lots of quick stone. Take out a few piles of those and you can craft plenty of arrows early on. Anyway, just thought I'd share as an early game tip since I haven't seen it mentioned before. I might as well mention that these tips are really for PC, since that's what I play on and I'm not sure if it applies to the console version or not. Any console players feel free to chime in! | Posted: 03 Jun 2019 03:25 PM PDT Was exploring one of the Shotgun Messiah Factories when I was killed by a zombie vulture, I went back to retrieve my stuff but I'm unable to find my body bag despite being right where I died and right on top of the bag icon on the compass. I'm playing on alpha 17.4 if that helps. Edit: Here is a Link to my screen shot of where I died. Edit 2: I went Into creative mode and spawned my shit back in my inventory so it's not a total loss but this should get fixed though. [link] [comments]  | ||

Nights are a hour longer, and zombies run at night I forget what the feral zombies are on I think it's run or nightmare 24/7.. the map is the nazgane map ( can't spell it correctly) anyway I'm will to give exp to around level 25 through console command ( just got to figure it out) if I can get a group of people to play will I'll pay for a dedicated server... oh and no mods. | Posted: 03 Jun 2019 05:16 PM PDT Does anyone know how to change server setting in a way that actually makes them stay? I'm referring to the settings like day/night, airdrop, loot respawn, xp multiplier. There's a very specific amount you are able to change it by in-game and so I've changed them through the launcher. Changing through the launcher is literally registry editing however they STILL reset to different values when I launch the game. I would really appreciate it if anyone has found a way to change those setting and have it work. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 03 Jun 2019 09:27 AM PDT So I was doing a quest for the trader to clear out an area. It was this really cool wood style pass n gas station. I cleared it out no problem and started heading back when I hear the growl of a zombie dog behind me. So I turn around and see 3 zombie dogs and 2 bears chasing me. I have never been more scared of dying in this game than I was at that moment. Luckily I had found a shotgun and ammo in the gas station so aside from the bleeding it wasn't so bad. Can't seem to find any good ones in A17. I've been getting mostly smaller cities or towns with maybe an apartment building or two. | Player block damage changed between games. What changed? Posted: 03 Jun 2019 01:58 PM PDT I was previously able to do a full 500 durability damage to stone when using a steel pickaxe. When I moved my character to a new map, I was doing much less (Previous map only had 150% block damage). I decided to bump up the player block damage to 200% (So I could one shot rock for easier building), and I still only do 499 (1 durability short from one shotting the rocks). This is pretty infuriating. Any idea what's going on here? Both maps were on 17.4 (One was upgraded to 17.4 and the other was made in 17.4). | Posted: 03 Jun 2019 01:02 PM PDT So I've been meaning to get back into 7 days to die, specifically getting back into the modding rabbithole, where I go and change the game to make it more enjoyable as in less grindy. Personally, I detest stamina as a sort of "ressource" that you run out because it just makes the game more drawn out. Mining for hours on end? Well guess what, you gotta stop every 3 minutes to refresh your Stamina. Wanna get somewhere far? Guess what, you can't go full speed the whole way. I do realize there's uses for it such as power attacks and repeated sledgehammer hits and whatnot, but I can pick and choose at that point. Anyways, kinda did get off track there, lol. So, where can I find the stamina costs to change them up a bit? Specifically I'm looking for running, hitting/swinging and jumping. Can't find them, and I don't even know where to look. Posted: 03 Jun 2019 10:26 AM PDT Quick backstory: I was playing Knights of the Old Republic 2 and had a similar issue, but thought nothing of it since it's an old ass game and it's known for some PC issues. Then I started playing 7D2D and had the exact same issue. It doesn't matter if I'm on my own server or someone else's, my game just completely freezes for sometimes just 5 seconds and other times it can be up to 15 seconds. Extremely frustrating when in combat because it often results in me dying. I thought the issue might've been my HDD since it also happened in KOTOR 2. I booted up Borderlands 2, which is on the same HDD, and played for an hour without a single lag spike or freeze. So it can't be the HDD. I've re-installed 7D2D twice and mixed around with the settings but nothing is working. Has anyone had similar issues, or knows how to fix this? [link] [comments]  | ||

Even the forge, or the sham. I guess bikes as well? I read online that you get them as random rewards for the missions, but isn't there any other way? I need a forge and bike even at low levels.
