    So 7 days decided to uninstall itself randomly. When I booted up my world it reset my character in the middle of nowhere at level 1 on DAY 21!

    Semi-Auto Shotgun

    Since we only have 1 weapon that takes shotgun ammunition, I think we should get a semi-auto one as a late game shotgun. Perhaps the model could be a Saiga-12k. Should be a bit better at mincing Rad zombies.

    Zombie spawn - land claim block?

    I just got back into the game after watching glock9's everyday horde series. I recommend it.

    Just started out, cleared a house and using it as a base for now. Does placing a land claim block stop zeds from spawning?

    Die at night away from your base and having to go back for it only to find your bag surrounded by dogs... And you have no bullet or ranged weapons.

    Tips for a new player?

    I'm somewhat a new player, I have 180 hours clocked into the game but i havent played in ages, last time I played was when they addes electricity. So, any tips for a returning player? One of my biggest concerns is finding schematics, so any tips on how to get early schematics would be wonderful. Thanks!

    XML-evate

    Sorry for stupid title.

    So I was talking in another thread about possible ways to alter the game experience. Obviously mods are one option, though the current version mods were a bit scattershot in my brief exploration a while back.

    But I came up with the idea of large-scale XML editing to effectively overhaul the game without adding new assets. One idea was to set the max character level at 1, and have quests grant skill points on completion. I could never find trader quests in the XML files, but those would be too easy to farm anyway. The "note" quests that you find as loot sometimes would be the only source, aside from the tutorial line, for skill points. They could be added to any variety of loot drop tables; small chance in any container for an easier experience, specific containers (shotgun messiah crates, zombie loot drops, etc) for a more graded difficult one, air drops only for a potentially very high difficulty (air drops every 15 days, and you only get one skill point from an air drop).

    The XMLs allow for some pretty interesting progression, loot drop, and enemy threat level adjustments. I've gotten a decent idea of what's possible, but I wanted to open the floor. Anyone with fun or interesting edits they've made? Anyone with suggestions or questions on whether something is possible?
