    Back in A16 I used to play the game on low settings and had around 60 fps (sometimes dropping to 50).

    Now in A17 im playing on medium settings and my fps is always around 100.

    Most early access devs do not seem to give a shit about how poorly their game runs. This must be the first time I have seen such a huge improvement, good job devs!

    I've not played in years and I struggled with horde night. My towers were made from wood upgraded to scrap Iron and its not as good as it was when I last played. They tore it down pretty quick and were able to get to me in seconds.

    I wanted to build out of cement but not found a working mixer or workbench in the world. I've found a couple of building sites with lots of cement mix in the world but I've not been able to build the iron frames with a workbench.

    Is there a way around using iron frames? Is there a better base building material than scrap iron that doesn't need the iron frames?

    I was tempted to build in a POI, but the video series I watch has mentioned a couple of times now that you can loose all your belongings if you use a POI and you pick up a quest for that building? (I don't think the quests were a thing when I last played)

    Seeking more players for 7 Days!

    As the title says, I am looking for more players to join!

    There are people on my discord, just either busy or not on enough.

    I also play RUST a couple days a week. I stream RUST on Tues and 7 Days on Friday on Twitch!

    Here's more info on my current settings:

    • Map type: My own created maps
    • Map Size: 8k
    • Patch: Latest which is 17.4
    • Player Limit: Currently 8, but might expand to more!
    • PVP is open, just set to kill strangers
    • Difficulty: Just sprint for BloodMoon. 4-8 per player depending!
    • Server: A few hours a day/night depending when I can get on.
    • Wipes: Only when forced
    • Admins: My friends will watch the server including myself, so please behave!
    • On death: Tool belt only
    • Day Length: 1 hour
    • Region: NA so far. Open to EU players!
    • Land Claim is only set for 10 days

    At what point do horde nights become challenging on console now? (Default settings)

    I remember when I first started playing this game and that first horde night was potential for the whole house coming down. I just went through my 4th horde night on this play through and they didn't even breach the front door of the prefab I held up in. It's clear they have nerfed the zombies but they get tougher as you go right? At what point does it become a challenge for you, personally?

    Nearly unplayable on horde night

    Hello, Ill preface this with i understand it is an alpha and im just looking to see if everyone has these issues with the current version or if there are ways to improve it.

    Ive recently started playing this with my SO and on horde night it freezes and frame skips so much it makes it pretty unenjoyable. We have to rely on being up high and not having to interact with the horde to survive. Basically with all the freezing and skipping you miss your shots or run off platforms.

    We are hosting from a computer with a decent graphics card (gtx 1070), with a wired connection, only two players (host and another computer also wired) and we've lowered graphics to low or medium settings. We've also found the console command "gfx pp enable 0" helps a bit (during normal encounters). Ive tried a couple solo games with same issue.

    Are these just price of admission bugs or is there someway to improve this?

    Specs: Cpu: i7-4770 Processor (8MB Cache, up to 3.9GHz) Gpu: GTX 1070 16GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600 Mhz (2x8GB) OS: Windows 10 Storage: ssd

    World corrupted.

    my pc bluescreen while me and my friend was driving our bikes and when pc reboot the games says version of game is A0.0 and when i click on it console pops up and it says failed to load main.ttw and the also failed to load the backup. i tried to swap this file with a new one i created when i luanch the world my player is lv1 and has starting gear. i tried to make a new map and move the player files but it still wont load the player files even tho it says they load in console. any tips?

    I haven't played since sometime early mod16; what are the most important things I need to know?

    I started a world with my partner a couple of days ago. We definitely both enjoy the new skill system, but I was wondering if there are things I should know? We just got wrekt during our first horde night. Things seem a lot harder now for some reason; Cops, ferals, irradiated ones, etc on the first night. Weird.

    What other things should we know that are big and important changes since I've last played? I'm excited to unlock Gyrocopters and 4x4 trucks.

    I've just recently gotten 7 days to die for the Xbox one and I would like to play with somebody , none of my personal friends have 7 days to die , so I came here. I have a mic, but a mic isn't necessary. Also a side question , is 7 days to die crossplay , if so I'm down to play with anyone.

    checking for other mods

    When creating your mods, you open it up with a tag, such as

    <MyMod>

    <append xpath="A bunch of code stuff">

    a bunch of stuff

    </append>

    </MyMod>

    Is there a way to check for a mod based on this information for use in another mod? Like an if/then or requirement that only applies if a specific mod is loaded?

    Are Multiple mods in a primary folder possible?

    If you have a large mod you are working on, but want to compartmentalize the mod into sub-mods to ensure that multiple people aren't duplicating or erasing each other's efforts, is it possible to place secondary folders within a folder instead of only creating folders directly off of the mods directory?

    Example for clarification:

    mods/BigMod - The base directory of the mod. No modinfo.xml in this directory, just a collection of folders.

    mods/BigMod/NewWeapons - Has its own modinfo.xml, art assets, and xmls for new weapons

    mods/BigMod/SkillPerkOverhaul - Has replacements for the Progression.xml and possibly a few items of its own. Has its own modinfo.xml

    When renting a private server, can you go back to previous alphas?

    My roommate and I really enjoy playing alpha 15 for the spam craft leveling and we've just been playing by having him join my private game. However I noticed a few lag spikes during a blood-moon (night 42). I would like to get a dedicated server so I don't run into this in the future (that's what we did for Minecraft) but I don't know if you can go back to previous alphas or not. Do any of you have experience renting servers and their abilities?
