So what have people thought about the zombies in A17

    Posted: 19 Sep 2019 10:09 AM PDT

I kinda stopped playing for several months and recently came back.

I really enjoy a lot of the improvements in A17. I like that I don't have to knife zombie corpses anymore and that when they drop things, it's not always just trash.

I really have enjoyed the remarkable step up in quality of the POIs and pre-fabs.

The mods and new vehicles and the new skill system has been great.

But what I haven't gotten over is the zombie behavior in A17. They're too smart. It's definitely presented a new challenge in base building and design, which I certainly enjoy. But I miss the castles or bunkers I used to make in previous alphas that aren't viable anymore. Concrete walls seem to tear down like paper now. It seems most strategies these days are to base-build in some manner that cheeses the zombie pathing tendencies towards vulnerable areas. At this point I now have dual installs and play A16.4 when I want to base-build, and A17.4 when I want a challenge or to explore.

How are they looking at zombie pathing and behavior for A18? Anyone feel the way I do?

Never used an overhaul. Using the mod launcher and everytime I start a map errors come up and it never finishes loading .

Is there some 1,2,3 step way to do this

    Garage idea. Need help

    Posted: 19 Sep 2019 01:29 PM PDT

I could test it but im away from home and was planning out a base design on a piece of paper so I'm here to see of someone can confirm if my idea works: If i built a base that had all my storage and crafting and everything in it (all the stuff for the heat map thing) and then roughly 20ish blocks away carved a hole in the side of a hill and created a little concrete garage for my truck would the zombies attack the garage or is the base enough to draw them away?
