Boss Option for End Game BMs

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 08:14 AM PST

I was thinking how cool it would be for end game blood moons. It would work something like this:

After 3 hours the hoard would quit spawning for around 30 minutes. Giving you time to clean them up and make any last minute repairs to your defenses. Then one of 6 bosses would spawn at random with with the usually hoard pack. The hoard would keep spawning till the BM ended regardless of wether or not the boss is killed. These bosses would not start showing until a certain BM is hit, like maybe the 10th or 15th is when they start showing up.

    1 flying boss.

    • Flying with swoop attacks and maybe even spit.

1 underground boss (similar to a Graboid in Tremors)

    • Would spawn underground and dig towards the player (can dig much faster than regular zombies).
    • Would need to at least be able to move extremely slowly if on top of material to prevent cheesing.

    4 terrestrial bosses

    • Possibilities are endless here.
    • Maybe taller, some 3 to 5 blocks tall.
    • Need to be able to climb, and jump more than 1 block tall (2-3 seems reasonable depending on height).

    Thoughts?

    Stealth build help.

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 08:01 PM PST

So for context, I am currently playing on a server thats map is primarily city and its pvp. Difficulty setting is insane, Zombies run during the day and sprint at night, Which makes loud noises exceptionally dangerous for those who make them, I am wanting to focus on being able to clear buildings and take down players that are scavenging in my area with as little noise as possible while dealing as much damage as possible.

Currently i am wearing Military gear, With custom fittings and advanced mufflers, I've got my perk tree set for stealth on agi, My current weapon is a hunting rifle that is suppressed, I get 4x- 4.5x damage from sneak attack letting me one shot most of the zombies and the others take 1-2 follow up shots, Unfortunately from time to time the hunting rifle pulls a bit more zombies than i can handle safely.

The other two stealth based weapons i know of are the bow and crossbow, Though i don't know how well they work against players, I also need a good melee weapon, Preferably not a sledge as it relys heavily on its heavy attack which makes your character yell and wakes up zombies.

I do want to know if i go bow/crossbow if i place a hunter mod or blessed metal mod on it will the damage buff from it effect the projectiles from those weapons? I noticed that stone, iron and steel arrows all have their own damage values this is why i ask.

How do you get your forged steel?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 09:52 AM PST

Hey, survivors. Some of you may remember my Slay-Way A17 base (credit to u/OmegamattReally for the name), which I'm now trying to do a v.2.0 of in A18 (Newer! Better! Murderier! Maybe!) The trouble is: blade traps need forged steel, and and I'm finding forged steel impossible to come by. The crucible is so far out of reach. I buy up all the traders have. I occasionally find a bit in a loot drop. But it's a painful trickle and I need a deluge.

So what are y'all doing to get steel?

Building a vault in the wasteland (fun as hell)

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 05:08 PM PST

Thought I'd try something new this time, building a vault in the wastelands and it's fun tbh, living on the wasteland I mean, challenging as well (which is why I like it)used to hate the f out of that biome, now it's become my favorite iron grinding biome, and do believe it or not,I like the ambiance during day and night,at night I feel somewhat creeped out because of the background noise and the possibility of a dog jumpscaring me,also does anyone have ideas of what I should add to my vault(or bunker if that's what you prefer)I got a room for me,and the usual stuff, forge, campfire and about to make a workbench, any ideas to make it look more like a underground house? (I'm on ps4 A16 just so you guys know) Thanks for any ideas.

[18.2] need tips to find brass

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 08:40 AM PST

Hello guys. (Sorry for typo or grammar fault, English is not my native language)

I need some help to find brass in order to build ammo. I'm playing online with a mad gunner, and ammo disappear as fast as money on my bank account. Yes, mad is the good word. Dumping a ak47 mag into Z, crying his joy.... Very weird But I'm struggling to feed him with 7.62 I know that radiator, trophy or faucet are brass and I need to put them in forge but I'm not able to find brass ore on surface.

I'm lucky enough to find a "God" vein with iron, coal, nitrate an lead but no brass. So the question is : is brass exists in ore or only in loot ?
