Posted: 01 Nov 2019 04:44 AM PDT Hello I am well aware that developers doesn't want to have players time-skipping using beds, still I'd suggest a few improvements to the current bed"system" which does nothing but act as a respawn point. 1)Give it some healing factor - especially early in the game when a player doesn't have any healing factor or it's generally low on items it would be useful if he could just lie in the bed for some minutes and get some Hp recovery in the process. 2)Add wellness buff by resting. Having a 10-20% extra Hp / stamina buff for resting at least for 5 minutes would be pretty useful, again, especially early in the game when you don't have a base yet and all you can do is lie down and wait for the dawn. -Additional Effects- - No crafting allowed while in bed - Hunger and Thirst decay at 50% lower rate while in bed - Give a small bonus for cold insulation -For extra immersion- Make the player close it's eyes while it's in bed, only leave the UI visible, also, make all surrounding noises more noisy(improved hearing),just to give that little bit more anxiety, for extra immersion. Posted: 01 Nov 2019 02:26 PM PDT ammo is expensive time-wise so it'd have to be way better than melee to be cost-effective. sledge has aoe which scales well against hordes, but sucks otherwise. am i missing something? Inability to interact with anything after death A18 Posted: 01 Nov 2019 09:48 PM PDT So I winded up dying by my friend who was also playing- she hit a bomb and I died. When I came back to, I noticed that I couldn't hit zombies and they ignored me. I also couldn't put anything in storage chests unless I shift and left clicked the item. Every time I would try to put something in a chest, I would click the chest slot and the item would drop and I couldn't pick it up, only my friend could. I couldn't even switch between inventory to maps using the icons at the top, only through keyboard shortcuts. I tried to kill myself to see if that would reset it and it didn't do anything. Whats the deal with lockpicks? Posted: 01 Nov 2019 07:10 AM PDT They seem rigged. Everytime I try to lockpick something they last almost all the way through. 20 seconds and still working. Then they break at 0.01 seconds left. Not even exagerating. If I try again it goes back to 4 seconds and all lockpicks keep breaking immediatly until one of them lasts for all four seconds. Sometimes it takes 3, sometimes it takes 12 attempts of insta-breaking lockpicks before I crack the safe open. And this didn't happen once or twice. That would've be kinda funny. No, this keeps happening to every single safe I find. I don't have points in the lockpicking skill but still... Am I cursed? Is this intentional? [link] [comments] | ||

Would love to see some "scenario" gamemodes. Posted: 01 Nov 2019 10:41 AM PDT Some shorter, almost experimental game modes that would last a short while, have a win/end condition and would be a way to test out some game mechanics that might not be practical to play with in a regular survival gamemode. Things like evactuation, where you have a set point a helicopter is picking you up from and you have to make it there in the time limit (for instance, fighting your way up to the top of a tower or through a city to the hospital roof), or Road trip, where you have a car and need to scavenge parts to make it along the way. Demolition, where you have to attract as many zombies to a building as possible on a red mood before blowing it up, or a demolition derby mode, where it's a red moon and you have to drive as far as possible with infinite fuel before your car breaks down. This gamemodes would be incredibly fun, especially with co op involved. Thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||

Tripping the Greed-o-Meter of Traders Posted: 01 Nov 2019 06:04 PM PDT As a way to avoid putting points into Better Barter but still being able to access the high-end items, give the Traders a Greed-o-Meter. This is tripped into active effect when a player walks into a trader's place with a certain amount of coin or higher. For example, walk in with 20,000 coin and the Greed-o-Meter sets the equivalence of Better Barter level three; 40,000 coins set it to level four; 60,000 or more and you're a level five Better Barter level as far as that trader is concerned. Posted: 01 Nov 2019 07:45 AM PDT A lvl 2 should always be better than a level 1, 3 better than 2 ect. thats the WHOLE point of there being a quality number. I was watching a youtuber and he found a lvl 5 boots and they were horrible compared to his lvl 1 boots, except having 2 more mod slots and slightly better mobility.
