Posted: 02 Dec 2019 01:11 PM PST For ages I've wanted some way to recover brass from guns, especially considering spent cartridges are a fairly common bit of loot in the world. While nosing around in the game files I ran across this:
Awesome? Awesome. [link] [comments]
How am I supposed to funnel zombies? Posted: 02 Dec 2019 02:02 PM PST After getting my teeth knocked in on the first blood moon, I built a C-shaped flagstone bunker to weather the next horde. I put turrets in the back, and an electric fence across the front. However, when the horde came, they immediately just busted through the walls, rather than walking through the open front. What am I missing here? From what I gathered, there was an element of pathfinding to the zombies, rather than "take the most direct path to the player". Am I supposed to just flee for the entire night of the blood moon, rather than fight them off? [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Dec 2019 09:17 PM PST I'm just wondering which weapon/armor/tool mods can be used together, or if there's a site that has done this footwork already. Pretty new to the game and it's a little frustrating sometimes [link] [comments]
Tip to New Users: Back Up Your Save Files Posted: 02 Dec 2019 06:53 AM PST Unlike games such as Skyrim, 7 Days has no built in way to create multiple saves. If your game crashes at the wrong time - as I found out the hard way, your save files can be corrupted and all progress can be lost. I found the instructions on this steam thread helpful: https://steamcommunity.com/app/251570/discussions/0/1693785669846219974/ [link] [comments]
Looking for more details on the Heat Map Posted: 02 Dec 2019 12:51 PM PST Iv checked the wiki and other sources to find out how heat(aka activity) is generated and how its used to spawn zombies and hordes on you. But as far as losing that "heat" all I can find is "Heat slowly reduces over time". Not exactly detailed. Im even assuming heat is an ambiguous variable. Where all heat generated increases it and origin doesnt matter. Like I said, very few details on how heat is lost. [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Dec 2019 06:35 PM PST My trader has a solar panel for 44k. Are they worth it? Not sure what to do with all the money I have now other than horde it. [link] [comments]
Ladders keep falling down, trapping me underground Posted: 02 Dec 2019 02:28 PM PST I've looked around and cannot find any reason for this, and cannot find any maximum length for ladders. So here is the situation. I am mining ores. I start with pretty big opening and then put down some wooden blocks, and attach the first ladder to it, as I continue to go down further and further I add more ladders so that I can climb out of the hole. At some point, usually like 7 or 8 ladders down, adding another ladder causes all the ladders except for the one connected to the wooden block, to fall off and crash to the ground. I then end up having to dig a diagonal ramp up and out of the hole. I've been using wooden ladders, I don't know if using metal ladders would make a difference. The ladder is not obstructed in any way. It goes straight down from the center of the hole that is probably 4 blocks or maybe even 5 across. Any help would be appreciated. I'm on 18.1. Posted: 02 Dec 2019 06:00 PM PST Getting together with some folks later this month, and one of our slated activities is a LAN game of 7 days that will last 4-6 hours. Two of us have played Alpha 18, the other two haven't really played since I think A14/15. We are total coop non-PvP carebears. We may be slightly inebriated at the time. What do you think would be the most fun settings for such a game in Alpha 18? We're game for using admin commands, or mods, or whatever to create the most fun experience. Thanks! Posted: 02 Dec 2019 05:59 PM PST Is it possible to create a lower level tool than we currently have unlocked? Steel tool parts are as rare as can be in my current game. I can make level 5 tools and just learned the schematic to make steel tools. Level 4 tools required 12 parts and the Level 5 requires I believe 15 each. I would much rather be able to make 2 level 4 steel tools than 1 level 5 with the current amount of parts I have.... [link] [comments]
Posted: 02 Dec 2019 04:36 PM PST Yesterday I played 7d2d for the first time since a16. I played for 4.5 hours and found myself feeling neasous from simulator sickness. I stopped playing but still felt awful 7.5 hours later when I went to sleep. I read that as of a17 the default FoV has been changed to 65. I play on an ultrawide, and 65 degrees is unacceptably low. I know I can change the FoV using but it's a bit hard to tweak and keep track of changes due to the fact that I have to disconnect from the server each time. Anyone know if there's a way to print my current FoV in console? Thanks? [link] [comments]
Insanely hard 7 day hordes on CooP? Posted: 02 Dec 2019 04:21 PM PST Hi guys,a bit of an unusual post. I'm playing 7 days with a group of 4 other friends (5 of us total) and we're having an issue with the difficulty scaling. We have cops, jumpers and dog packs spawning on us since day 1 and the day 7 horde absolutely DESTROYED us. (Cops, jumpers on day 7 horde, huge numbers) This is after we had to basically restart after we got crushed by a day 14 horde made of only rad mutants (jumpers, fatties, cops). We're playing on nomad/10 zombies per wave/150% loot/75% AI block damage. Any way to mitigate this? Or how can we prepare to survive such hordes so early in the game? 30 minute days. Extremely High Ping On Second Login Posted: 02 Dec 2019 02:31 PM PST Looking to see if anyone has had this experience. Friend Hosts a dedicated server, starts the server, we log in and play for hours. We take a small break and log out. After logging back in I get ping times in the high 30k's. Our solution is to restart the server. It comes back up and everything is fine. We have done extensive trouble shooting on both his and my network. Hoping someone knows a solution? How to upgrade reinforced wood blocks? Posted: 02 Dec 2019 01:52 PM PST So I have a reinforced wood block and want to upgrade it to a metal reinforced wood block. The wiki says I just need iron and I have like 50, however when I try to upgrade it, it gives me a pile of rocks with a red X in the bottom right. How can I upgrade this block? [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Dec 2019 10:56 AM PST So I was playing on my gf's server when my computer decided to not register the ground I was walking on. This led to me falling through the map and accidentally unlocking the Steam achievement in the title. My questions are, how frequently does this happen? And what are the actual criteria for that achievement? [link] [comments]

Looking For Community based PVE Players (PC) Posted: 02 Dec 2019 10:18 AM PST tl;dr: looking for mature community focused players Looking for a few people that want to play on a dedicated server. Currently at day 23 or so. We tend to reset when there is a consensus to do so. Background. We have a server that has a max of 10 people and its hosted (Bluefang hosting). We are long time gamers and are a married couple. She is an awesome admin on the server and has zero bullshit tolerance...But I didn't MEAN to drop mine that entire city....yeah..No. We run CBSM as a cloud manager. What this means is that you get a /HOME command and some zgates to teleport (there is a cool down timer). That's about it for modification. Looking for a couple of types of people. But the biggest thing is. Don't be a douche. We are PVE only. We have a community base and horde base that evolves according to game play. The people that play now (2 regular and 2 semi regular) pretty much have the run of the base and nothing is locked. So if you are the kind of person that is ME ME ME...its probably not good. Going through all the boxes to find shit that works for YOU is a big no no. That being said its really cool when one of the looters chimes out that they found XX perk and will bring it back for you and its in your box, sort of thing. So if you like community life and you like to go out and loot. Great. Finding and keeping an awesome pick axe or a nail gun while the base builder is back digging out the main base with a stone axe, is pretty dick-ish. Considering that person is also the one responsible for snagging all the nitrate and coal that you keep using, maintaining the base, etc. Or seeing as how you find a dozen cans of food and you think you might just need it...even while other people are farming shit so that you can eat....yeah, that's kind of dick-ish. Its about balance in how we play as the community. If you aren't the looter and one of the looter types needs a lucky looter perk. Don't be a dick. Now all that being said. If you want your own base. Feel free. We tend to help where we can but we aren't going to slam 3k rebar and 60k concrete your way sort of thing. Hang out at night if you need to etc. Don't destroy the lootable landscape more than you have to. Don't grief other people. Heck, come along and do horde night at the main base, just help to fix it up after. Be the guy that shows up at a party with their own ammo and supplies not the other way around if you are the independent type. Hit me a message is you want the name/PW. Thanks [link] [comments]
Do you prefer heavy or light armor? Posted: 02 Dec 2019 10:08 AM PST Personally, I prefer light armor since you can sprint for a long time in it and maneuver better. Doesn't help I like sneaking around as well [link] [comments] |
