Having trouble using a solar bank to charge my battery bank

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 09:46 PM PDT

So I have a power chain that goes solar bank connected to a battery bank, and then a bunch of traps and switches and stuff connected to the battery bank. But when I switch the traps on, they draw power only from the solar bank, which doesn't have enough wattage to power everything, and my battery bank is just functioning as a relay. How do I make it so that the solar bank just charges the battery bank?

Did they nerf screamers? AKA- I want my ravenous screaming pack of zombies back

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 07:52 PM PDT

After the upgrade to b4 I'm finding that I can't build up a good pack of screamers no matter how many campfires I have burning.

I get two or three, but then they run out of screams and once I kill everything off, no more of them spawn.

Unity Keeps Crashing. I Don't know how to fix it. I would prefer reinstallations last resort if possible.

Thoughts on spicing up blood moon nights

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 02:05 PM PDT

Setup: multiplayer PvE. We cranked up the difficulty, left XP and loot rates at default, set it to "destroy everything" when you die, all zombies sprint all the time, etc. We want it to be hard without being straight up suicidal.

The problem: trying to come up with a blood moon setting that's difficult and exciting without being straight up death every time.

I suspect we just need to limit our own behavior. Zombies aren't very good at dealing with height differences. If you don't leave them a ramp or a ladder then they can't get to you (and it only sends so many birds). So we just camp out on a roof, play zombie-fish-in-a-barrel until we run out of ammo and then ride around on bicycles until time is up. We could set zombies to Nightmare speed but that just seems like it would turn it into win-or-die rather than merely "difficult".

    Maybe....

    • Self-imposed rule: "no structures higher than 3 tiles"
    • Set zombie waves to 3 per person, run speed
    • Self imposed rule: no leaving the designated structure. "Last stand."

That way they're perfectly fightable, but there's not much room to straight up cheese them. Might have to adjust the number of zombies upward or set them to sprint but maybe 3+run+rules is a good place to start.

Or maybe a game of "Protect the King". The king is one player that either is not allowed to sprint or is not allowed to move at all and must be at ground level...

Just fishing for ideas. What do you do for blood moons, especially multiplayer, if you want to keep it interesting, somewhere between "ez cheesing zombies" and "absolute suicide"?

    Do zombies attack minibikes?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 12:47 PM PDT

For some context. My mini bike was at 98%. Everything on it was in perfect condition. I went and did a few things at my main base and just now (a few irl hours later) and it's at 26% and everything is just about broken and the bike won't even move at this point.

I'm so confused. Does anyone know the explanation of this?

    Question

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 03:14 PM PDT

Can zombies die from fall damage? I'm planning to make a really deep moat base and need to know how much damage they take when they fall.

    Bug or feature?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 02:33 PM PDT

Still new to updated game, coming from Xbox.

Console: 3/5 zombies have something to loot, even just a sandwich

Pc: can't even loot zombies at all

Is this a bug or a feature?

    Changing the Config file

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 10:10 AM PDT

So quick question im sure its a simple answer i just wasnt sure and didnt see it aftter a few googles searches anywhere. Anyways if i change the gamestage xml file in steamapps/common/7dtd/data/config how ever i change it will affect every single player game file or game hosted by my computer correct?

Edit: second question for clarification in the wandering horde section "num=05" means what exactly how many will spawn? or is it like the minimun number while "maxalive=30" would be the max potential to spawn? And what does the "duration=09" mean? I assume how long it takes to spawn them all but I have no idea.

    <gamestage stage="01"><spawn group="wanderingHordeStageGS1" num="05" maxAlive="30" duration="09"/></gamestage>

I am looking to increase the spawn sizes for the wandering hordes dramatically to make for a more hectic day to day gameplay. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Returning 7DTD player, need some tips!

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 02:54 AM PDT

Hello my fellow players, i reinstalled 7DTD on friday and pretty much passed all weekend playing, became really addicted again, i just have around 150 hours in the game and im enjoying it a lot.

i joined a low pop fresh pvp multiplayer server, other players on the server are friendly too, didnt seen anyone one the map but been talking on the chat with them.

was able to make a base out of wood, then upgraded it to cobblestone, next step is going to upgrade it to concrete i guess. made a small hole few hundred meters far with a forge but not used it yet.

i spend some points on some skills like javelin master, lucky looter, sexual tyranno, miner 69r, master chef, healing factor and iron gut.

some of the problems i had is while looting i pick almost everything i see, and becoming cumbersome fast and having to travel back to base or being very very slow after a while. i have to learn to select loot better and ignore some items..

i want to make a mini bike to explore other parts of the map, i haven´t found the book but i already spent some points to being able to make the parts for the bike, maybe i messed up with that but i still have 7 points to spent at the moment.

the city i´m located is enormous, its like 10 minutes running from side to side, i have found 2 book stores that i´m looting for finding guides for new guns and all, still missing a lot of stuff. this game is very much time consuming :) theres also a big hospital and a PD that i havent checked yet.

still looking for some tips to improve my gameplay and burn my day time better to spent the night at base making stuff and not just leaving the server or being idle until 4am.

sorry for the testament, any tips area appreciated. thanks!

    Raid calling card

    Posted: 09 Mar 2020 02:06 AM PDT

So when you do a raid in PvP and manage to find and take out the claim box, who likes to leave some type of calling card.

I try and destroy as little of the base as possible and leave enough stuff to let them easily recover. However I do like to leave a big sign in their base saying when they were raided. I may also then blame it on someone else on the server to cause a laugh in the chat :D
