Base got eaten by chunk failure on Day 42 horde night. I quit. Posted: 02 Apr 2020 08:33 PM PDT Chunk failure on the morning of Day 42 before a horde, 60 hours into this game. Half my base got eaten along with most of my defenses and all of my items and storage. I had an absolutely stupid amount of items in storage, just hoarding stacks of ammo and supplies. A18 Modlets not loading Posted: 02 Apr 2020 04:59 PM PDT I've downloaded a mod that says it works with A18 to use on a local server that I've been running around on. I created a folder called 'Mods' in the main '7 Days to Die Dedicated Server' folder. The structure looks like this: -> 7 Days to Die Dedicated Server\Mods\ I copied the extracted folder that I downloaded into Mods called, and it's called 'NoXpPenaltyOnDeath' and in that folder there is another folder called 'Config' -> NoXpPenaltyOnDeath\Config In 'NoXpPenaltyOnDeath' I have a ModInfo.xml file and in the 'Config' folder I have a file called entityclasses.xml. When launching the server I am under the impression that I should see something like: -> INF [MODS] Start loading -> INF [MODS] Trying to load from NoXpPenaltyOnDeath -> INF [MODS] Loaded Mod: NoXpPenaltyOnDeath (2.0) -> INF [MODS] Initializing mod code -> INF [MODS] Loading done But I am seeing nothing of the sort. The server loads fine, but it doesn't appear as if the mods are loading, and I'm not seeing any changes in game. I've been all over Google, Steam, 7D2D forums, etc. for the past 2+ hours and from what I can tell I have everything setup exactly like it should be, but I'm not seeing anything loading. ​ Anyone have any ideas? How to protect your base from raids in PVP? Posted: 02 Apr 2020 01:23 PM PDT I've been playing the game for a week with some friends in a PvP server (which I didnt know it was). Yesterday when we came online we saw that our base was raided, 2 concrete blocks were broken and 14 password protected chests were broken as well, resulting with a more than 100 hours of work stolen. We didnt care about hiding the base, and weren't really aware that these kinds things might've happened. Now at this point we have to option but to leave that base since its spotted. My friend who played the game some 500 hours told me that they need to hit the walls some 8000 times to be able to break it due to land claim block. Raiders had to break 2 blocks to enter, and furthermore breal 14 chests. Since whatever hit inflicts 1 hp, the most effective way is to punch, since its fastest. If they punched twice a second, it would still take more than 2 hours to break 2 blocks to enter, add the chests to those and we are looking at a 5-6 hours of pummeling. Is this the case? I mean I'm thinking there must be another way to break into bases? I cant imagine punching some walls for that long. TL;DR: Did the raiders punched our walls and chests for hours to get into our base and steal hundreds of hours of loot? Few questions about mods on Dedicated servers Posted: 02 Apr 2020 09:55 PM PDT Hi all, it's been a while since I played 7dtd, me and a bunch of friends decided to start back on 18.4 and so we did. I setup a dedicated server but we felt like a few minor mods are missing. is there any essential mods on a server that would provide QoL, esp on the hud to show more information? I'm looking at mods that would have minimal impact on the otherwise vanilla server game play, but improves upon information on say food/thirst level, some custom message of the day of some sort that would automatically trigger when player logs in etc also, would installing mods completely break my current game save? if possible i'd like to retain that as well. submitted by /u/ckh00362 [link] [comments]

Mixed UI Mods on Dedicated Server Posted: 02 Apr 2020 02:36 PM PDT I'm going to assume the answer is "Yes, everyone needs to have the mods installed that the dedicated server has installed," but I figured I'd confirm, I like SMX's UI mod, so when friends and I decided to stand up a dedicated server for playing the game, I loaded it up, and it works fine for me; but at least a couple folks like the stock standard UI mod. When they log in, they get the partial download of the SMX mod. Is there a way to make everyone happy? Dismemberment chance. Posted: 02 Apr 2020 01:56 PM PDT So I have a question regarding dismemberment chance. I got agility to level 9 and it says I have a 45% dismemberment chance but it rarely happens. Before you ask if I am sure I am hitting body parts I tested it on attacking the legs of several zombies where they will stumble a bit and hold their legs, but on several zombies I wasn't able to cut of their legs with many hits(aprox 5-7). Is it a 45% increase to the weapons dismemberment chance or is it a 45% chance to dismember and it is a bug on my end?
