I definitely feel they hit it right, food and water usage now actually feel like an important game mechanic. It previously was one I could pretty ignore after the first horde night. This brings me to how I have adapted to alpha 19, The canned goods. I used to always just eat them if I found them, they didn't build into anything. They added a bunch more recipes to the game and previous canned goods now make big as meals. This makes having corn, potatoes, and mushrooms super important too! The trader has SUPER cheap veggies. Get your veggies from them. Also, vending machines also have a good supply of canned goods. Make sure you buy what you need. These were things I never did, but now find myself doing out of necessity. | Extremely concerned about the house reset glitch Posted: 08 Jul 2020 07:17 PM PDT I'm living in a huge farmhouse that happened to have a giant mutant boar in the basement. I'm concerned that if I were to accept a quest from the trader it could perhaps be to go kill said boar. Im also concerned that If I were to go too far away from the house that it would reset and removed all the items I've placed. Just tried to fight may way to the stash atop the pharmaceutical high rise and nearly died several times due to almost jumping wrong or swinging too late. Preferably normal loot levels, Nomad to survivalist difficulty. I'm open to vanilla exp or slight boost (only thing I find that lags the game up). I'd just like to cooperate and have fun. Also want either PVP server, or nothing drops on death. The pack system doesn't work that drops, I've already lost hours and hours hunting for dropped packs on PVE servers and I'm sick of it. | Posted: 08 Jul 2020 04:55 PM PDT I have a 9 by 9 square concrete base, day 21 horde is coming up and I just built it, I plan on putting metal spikes around the outside of it and I have iron bars high up around the base so I can shoot down. I feel like my base is weak. Also I like to shit where I eat (glock9 doesn't) so my loot is with my horde base. I honestly take inspiration from Joel hueniks base. | Posted: 08 Jul 2020 04:48 PM PDT I made a 5x5 base that's about 10 blocks high with a pit dug around it 4 blocks away that's 6 blocks wide and 10 blocks deep and around the pit on the grass there's wood spikes surrounding it I was working on 12 metal i-beams, some wood support and reinforced concrete and 12 flagstone wedge tips when I fell off to the bottom My FPS went from like 40 to 13-20 during the fall and it never recovered I think maybe the game tried loading a bunch of the area around it, like a perimeter of 100 blocks but since I fell fast it's trying to load 1000 blocks? I don't know but I think maybe there could be a delay on loading terrain and stuff like you're in an area for 10 seconds then it'll load it but I have no idea if that was the reason why the fps dropped and isn't coming back up I'm gonna restart the game but just wanted to make a bug report maybe it's helpful to you guys (the developers) [link] [comments]  | ||||||||||||||||
