Posted: 29 Sep 2020 06:32 AM PDT I've been thinking about creating a roleplay server for 7 days to die.Not a open one, but one where you've got to be invited to get into it. My thoughts are: it would be semi pvp, though there will be rules, like no kos (kill on sight) and other things.I would come up with a lore for the server, for people to follow and really the goal is to survive and help each other out, there would be jobs created, suchs as crafter, miner, smith and so forth. There would be roles as leader, Doctor ect. Where the pvp part comes in, is the thought was when the server has gone on for some while, there is bound to be some conflints, maybe someone had enough of the leader of this proctected base and decided to make his own home and he has some followers, there could be trades among them, and they could go wrong and such.Plan is for it all to be based on roleplay. What are people thoughts, is this something people would do, anyone interrested? Edit: its on PC steam. Update and such will come on the discord, Join it now to keep your self updated and have say in how the server will be made. [link] [comments]

I recently caught wind of a discrepancy between Block Damage vs. Resource Harvesting Posted: 29 Sep 2020 07:12 AM PDT Question: Is this still going on the way I'm hearing it does, that the more block damage you do, you end up getting fewer resources overall? Data?: Discrepancy: (Time passed while I was writing this)Well now I'm really confused, I specifically tested it multiple times on surface boulders (which is still consistent with the previous findings for some reason) and found that result and then once on underground iron ore and found the same results, but NOW after testing once more to get my numbers right for this post the tools on Iron ore (and Nitrate ore) all give the same resource, iron, and stone. Theory: I was always under the impression that Resource nodes had a specific amount of resource inside them, and yielded the same amount no matter how quickly or how many hits it took to get it. That higher block damage just meant you got that faster and mother lode increased the total amount in the node. Data: after another brief test I'm still left confused.(Note I only tested with Maxed Miner 69er and Mother lode, Ill try to get the results without them later today)when it comes to Resource Harvesting, of Underground ore, of all types:A level 1-6 Steel pickaxe are the same 100 Nitre, 100 Lead, 110 Stone, 100 Oil Shale, and 210 Iron,These results were consistent with all other tools.Level 1 Stone axe, Level 5 Iron axe, level 5 Iron axe with 3 mods on it, Level 1-6 Auger. Addendum: This is also consistent with Wood Harvesting Axes and Chainsaw. Conclusion: The amount of resources harvest were exactly the same, no matter how many number of hits it took.It seems like the only discrepancy was with my original test, the surface boulders seem to be the only thing giving different results. TLDR: As of my current tests, All tools of any quality or block damage give the same amount of resource. NEW DATA: Harvesting Underground Ore nodes with levels 1-5 of Miner 69er result in the exact same amount of resources collected, with all different tools of varying quality. Without Mother lode, all resources gave 50 units of material (only outlier being Iron giving 105 but this in itself is consistent) with each level, 1-5, of miner 69ner. TLDR: Conclusion: As of now, Harvested Resource is not affected by number of hits, block damage, tool quality, type, or Miner 69er, Only by your level of Mother lode and other assorted bonuses (such as Volume 3 of Art of Mining and Rock Buster candy) [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Sep 2020 08:22 AM PDT It's the only gun I really use. My friend always uses rifles or shotguns, so to conserve ammo, I use pistol and blunderbuss. I like it but wondering if it's something other people do too since it could be considered a weak weapon. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Sep 2020 07:24 PM PDT I really hope this game sees some optimization soon... poor (40-70) framerates pretty much regardless of settings. I play at 1080p and reduce to 720p for blood moon and it's still pretty much unacceptable. System: Ryzen 5 2600 + 1070Ti 8Gb + 16Gb RAM [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Sep 2020 03:12 PM PDT Devs, the explosion physics on pipe bombs and dynamite is broken really bad! I've almost died multiple times because of this. Grenades and molotovs don't seem to be effected. [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Sep 2020 05:23 AM PDT So with all the crap going on in the world in 2020 it's safe to say we all need to prepare for the end of 2020 horde night... some serious shit is likely gonna go down, gather all the ammo you can, pipe bombs and your trusty Ak... craft those wood spikes cause we are all gonna need them.. Let's hope we all survive.. as we are all on game stage 2020. [link] [comments]
