As a huge fan of The Forest, would I like this game? Posted: 01 Nov 2020 03:30 PM PST The Forest is one of my favorite games, however, I am cautious every time I come upon an early access title. So, what's the story with this one? Is it worth its salt? Does it seem to have a good trajectory in terms of development and reaching the "finish line"? Or is it in development hell perhaps like DayZ? [link] [comments]
Anyone ever feel like playing this game but then remember how grindy it is? Posted: 01 Nov 2020 03:16 PM PST Returned to this game a few months back and made it to day 150. I thought there had been some really great improvements but I'd be lying if I said it had some major flaws. My main issue is that it is crazy grindy which is then amplified on 3 players as your xp bar takes forever to fill. I don't know why but something about grinding casino tokens and intellect for the small chance that the trader will sell me a crucible is boring. And grinding the same tier 5 poi with it's dungeon style looting on the small chance I get a level 6 pickaxe is super repetitive. (I never got one even after running the shotgun messiah 50+ times). So sometimes I think about replaying but then I remember I'll just be grinding trader and gunpowder in early game and be a literal god in endgame. Just me? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2020 01:47 PM PST This game has been in Alpha for 7 years and I've loved every minute I've spent playing this game. Do the devs have any road-map or plan for how and when the game will come to be finished and polished, or will this forever be an evolving project; the forever Alpha? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:38 AM PST I just bought the game yesterday and I'm on day 6. I'm not sure if I'm just bad or don't have good weapons yet, but I cannot kill the wolves at all. They get me every. Single. Time. Any help or suggestions? [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Nov 2020 09:07 PM PST Howdy zombie stackers, I've been playing 7d2d on PC recently, switched over from PS, I'm day 61, level 71 and have a heap of resources to build a new living/fighting base. Is there a go to page for ideas for base builds, I have about 1000 rebar frames and about 5000 in concrete. Also I'm running solo with horde every 5 days. TIA [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2020 10:37 AM PST A player on my server is having an issue with not being able to look around after being hit by zombies until they relog, anyone experienced this before? I think it's client side but cant find much about it. A19.2 [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2020 01:10 PM PST right now 7 days to die is on sale right now and me and a friend want to both get it, but my question what is 7 Days to Die 2-Pack? is it 7 days with DLC or is two 7 days in one purchase? everywhere I look it doesn't tell me what it is and when I go to purchase tab it doesn't show that I can gift it. Mining question - Finding resources at bedrock Posted: 01 Nov 2020 02:58 PM PST Several community members have advocated mining at bedrock. Doing so apparently avoids the hassle of screamers calling zombies, as happens when the mine is closer to the surface. I've tested this, and it is certainly true. My question is, when mining at bedrock, do you just mine in a straight line until you find the resources you are seeking? Any strategies at bedrock level to locate specific resources? Thanks! Posted: 01 Nov 2020 10:29 AM PST Hello, I want to start a new world in alpha 19. can someone give me a good seed? i like a town with a shotgun massiah and a pop and pills and it has to be in the plains biome. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2020 10:01 AM PST Every time I open the game I am greeted with "precaching files" where I have to wait a solid 30s for it to load. After, i have to load character models which generally ends with the game not responding. If i get past that, i try to start generating a new map and during generation my game stops responding almost instantly and continues to do so for several minutes before crashing my entire computer. Considering I can run rust at 90fps, I have no idea why I can't create a map to play on and it's really pissing me off. Please help [link] [comments]
Anny PVE servers where building in POI's is allowed? Posted: 01 Nov 2020 02:41 AM PST This is my first time playing online. I found a great sever full of friendly people. I set up a epic base in a crypt under a cemetery. When I was done it looked like a mix of Forman's basement in the That '70s show and a vampire hideout. About 7 hours into the game the admin comes by to give me some iron I lost due to a server restart and mentions I am not allowed to build in a building due to loot and quests. Ok well that sucks the most fun I get from this game is the challenge to convert a prebuild building into a fortress, not building a concrete cube. So I hop onto another server ask if its allowed to build in POI's, Nope.. I try another one, same thing. Are there even any servers where this is allowed?Doesn't this restriction bother people if so why? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Nov 2020 08:33 AM PST Context: I've been playing on a small public server for a few weeks now and loving it, for this playthrough I focused more on building, I'd log in, gather material, build a horde base use it once, and give it away. Most of the players here are fairly new at the game so there's always someone taking it. I'm on my fourth base rn and am starting to run out of ideas, I try to make my bases fun and avoid cheesy tactics as to make whoever's defending it feel like they are contributing. Just finished day 70 and am looking for inspiration for my next base, any ideas? [link] [comments]

Are there any early game horde bases that aren't built specifically to abuse the AI? Posted: 01 Nov 2020 01:01 AM PST I could almost say question in title, but I feel like a little detail would be helpful. I'm returning to the game after several years away and I'm getting ready to build my first horde base, but when I went searching for some ideas on what to build, there seems to be only variations on one theme: Get the zombies to fall off a platform before reaching you and then abuse the AI pathing so they keep doing it instead of trying to tear down your base. While I'm certain this is likely the easiest way to beat horde night, it feels a lot like cheating for me and I'd much prefer something a little less "gamey" and a little more traditional. I've seen a few examples of mid / late game bases which are full to the brim with electric traps or pits full of spikes deep enough that the pathing breaks again (at least this feels less cheaty to me due to the depth of the pits and the work that goes into digging it), but these are not available to me in the early game. As such, I'm hoping someone could point me at some base ideas that aren't built to cheese the mechanics so obviously that would be available to someone in the very early game.
