Have you ever been so lonely you spawned and placed a zombie corpse in your base to keep you company(You know who you are!)? If so, you've come to the right place. By posting here you can find friends to play and survive with! Remember, you don't need to be faster than the zombies just faster than your friends ;) Please leave your Steam/XB1/PSN name, what time zone you're in and works best for you, and (If you're on PC) any mods you may be using. How to make a well hidden base in 7 Days to Die. Posted: 25 Dec 2020 10:05 AM PST 1st bit of advice. Don't use buildings/houses. Raiders always go looking for them first. And if they got a big enough clan, your toast. Find a heavily wooded area with plenty of cliffs. Look for a mountain side with trees covering it then start digging an underground base. Make sure there is a tree in front of the entry way into your base as it helps hide it from prying eye's. Then make a few more exit points in case you are discovered. That way you can high tail it out of there if you and your friends get overwhelmed. Put a few traps in each entry point. No mines or bombs as you don't want to make it easer for others to find you. Explosions can be heard by many. Also put a few empty loot boxes far from your hidden base in plan view. Then have a friend keep an eye on it. If someone goes after it alone or with others. Then you're teammate can warn you're group that there are raiders nearby so you know to prepare for possible danger. Hope this tip helps you and others out. It worked for me and my friend:) EDITED: Disclaimer. Do note use this kind of hidden bases on public servers as they will not work on as hackers are known to reek havoc there. Join privet invite only servers for better results. And be careful which ones you join as many are owned by trolls who abuse they're admin controls to find hidden bases. Had to edit do to fact i forgot about that problem. Sorry if anyone got trolled in the game, my bad. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Dec 2020 03:55 AM PST What are the opinions on the effect the trader has on game balance? From limited experience and looking at what other people say about how they play, it seems like playing heavily with the trader leads to a very different experience than trying to rely mostly or exclusively on scavenging. Quests, especially clear quests, are very lucrative, and having the trader available can smooth over a lot of issues one might otherwise have, such as missing some parts here or there or running out of food. Have you played runs with both heavy realiance on the trader and with no trading at all? What are your expierences with the trader? Is the game more interesting without it, or does it get too boring / frustrating? Mostly talking SP here, I suppose the trader might have less of an effect in larger groups, because you just have so many more skillpoints and can cover more ground. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Dec 2020 08:14 PM PST I love watching people play 7dtd on pc. It looks so so fun. However I only have a PlayStation at the moment. The ps4 version seems to look a lot worse than the pc which is to be expected right? Still, I'm hoping it might be fun enough to go ahead and buy. What are your thoughts? What do you like/dislike about this version of the game. Thanks everyone. [link] [comments] |
Is there a point in specialized builds? Posted: 25 Dec 2020 10:12 AM PST Ive seen some stuff, especially some steam guides, on builds such as "perception sniper build", or strength build, agility build, etc, and I was wondering if there was actually a point in specializing in them. For example, I saw a whole thing on a "sniper playstyle", but often times there is only 1-2 enemies in an area at a time that you can just beat with a club, whats the point of stealthing or sniping unless you are on the highest difficulty? I have 7D2D ModLauncher. How can I use it to play an un-modded character? Posted: 25 Dec 2020 05:27 PM PST I want to bring my non-mod character onto darkness falls instead of starting over. When I load into darknessfalls, it only gives me the option to create a new character instead of playing any old ones. How can I do this? Thank you in advance. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Dec 2020 01:15 PM PST Hey good people! I have come to seek your wisdom. I have lost my save again. This time game crashed and when I started it, my save was gone. I am playing vanilla settings with one modlet to extend the loot boxes duration. I have two question: 1. Do you guys also have this problem? If yes, how are you are dealing with it.
Merry Christmas and stay healthy. [link] [comments] |

How do I start two instances of dedicated servers on my computer? Posted: 25 Dec 2020 11:24 AM PST Wondering if anyone has done this. Is it just a matter of making a copy of the folder structure, changing the port, and then starting the server manually? One folder should still work with the steam launch button. Subsequent folders will need manual launches? [link] [comments] |
Is there any reason to use a pickaxe over a clawhammer? Posted: 25 Dec 2020 12:25 PM PST I've been looking at the Wiki, and according to it the claw hammer is just as good as a pickaxe for mining and taking down metal. That makes it just feel like a waste of points to take the mining perks for the pick. Is this the case or is the Wiki unclear/incorrect? [link] [comments] |

Mining for oil shales [HELP] [PS4] Posted: 25 Dec 2020 05:34 AM PST The title basically says it. How on earth do I find oil shales? I know its in the desert biome, but I've tried digging down to 30 blocks deep in several locations and I've only found sand, sand, and more sand. In the videos I've watched they suddenly encounter a layer of stone/iron, but I haven't had such luck. Is there some kind of trick? 😅 [link] [comments] |
How to troll the troll on 7 Days to Die. Posted: 25 Dec 2020 08:33 AM PST Having problems with trolls and player killers and thief's alike. Well here a proven method of getting back at them. Find a small unclaimed house or any place that's small. Place a few loot boxes in there and only fill them with useless crap no one wants. Then place land mines everywhere in the room with the loot boxes. The place junk turrets everywhere possible inside and outside the building. Any would be raider would not be able to resist a possible large raid for an even larger loot haul. Make sure the mines are well hidden. And place as many other kinds of traps as possible in that building. You to make it look like your doing everything possible to keep other players out. After everything is set up and ready. Find a good hiding place nearby with a vantage point to look down from. The higher the better. You don't want anyone seeing or the jig will be up. Then wait and watch for your first victims for the slaughter MWAHAHA lol:) [link] [comments] |
