Looking for a “Walking dead” aspect to play the game on. Trying to have max zombies at hardest difficulty with low loot. But every time I hit a zombie it starts running. I have all speeds set to walk only. Is there something I’m missing?

Are you tired of surviving alone? Ever wish you had a friend help you through horde nights? Have you ever been so lonely you spawned and placed a zombie corpse in your base to keep you company(You know who you are!)?

If so, you've come to the right place. By posting here you can find friends to play and survive with! Remember, you don't need to be faster than the zombies just faster than your friends ;)

Please leave your Steam/XB1/PSN name, what time zone you're in and works best for you, and (If you're on PC) any mods you may be using.

“Spawn” in xp?

I've got some friends joining a pre existing play through to fight a giant horde as they're new to the game and want to see one. Am I right to assume you can spawn in xp so they could level up and have a few points to play with for the horde? Cheers

How to make 7 days to die less scary?

So I want to play this game with my SO. She loves survival games like the forest, minecraft and raft. So we tried 7 days to die. However, she is horrified during the nights, and is just too scared to play when its dark and there is zombies roaming around. I was wondering if you knew of any mods that'll make the game less scary for her? We looked for reskins of zombies and audio mods that remove the eerie sound effects, but did not find any. She likes the survival aspect, building and having mobs around to fight, but the zombies, especially their audio are just too scary.

We play on a19.5.

Returning player questions

Recently decided I wanted to get back into the game after about a year or 2 hiatus and had some questions…

First, are the crafting recipes still locked behind perks, or are they unlocked by schematics? The base building/7 day horde part is my main reason for liking the game

Second, it says 19.5 is out but my beta list on steam only shows 19.4 as the latest. I'm assuming I'm missing something.

If anyone has mod recommendations, those would be greatly appreciated as well!
