So I've only recently gotten into the game and have been combing through posts and I'm finding a bit of back and forth on this: Are crossbows considered rifles for purposes of perks? Because if I'm doing a bow build I'm gonna want to use a crossbow for harder enemies and such. Otherwise bow, from what I've read, doesn't really do well late game besides regular zombies. If it's considered a rifle I think I'd just do a rifle build and use crossbows for stealth kills when clearing. Also if you have a stealth build I'd love to see it to help me out in planning a character! [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 13 Apr 2019 09:39 AM PDT Wood is easier to get than coal which makes it a better fuel. But I found if you craft your wood into wood logs you get a better fuel burn time. This made me wonder, what item makes the best fuel for the forge? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Meet Your Maker Achievement Strategy (console) Posted: 13 Apr 2019 01:36 PM PDT I have been playing 7 days on and off for the past few years and have come to realize some of these achievements are just plain unrealistic as far as getting them normally. That being said I found a super easy way to get the "meet your maker" achievement. Simply place your bedroll down in the radiation zone, disconnect your controller, and then go watch a movie or whatever you want to do. Disconnecting the controller is important because the game will skip the "spawn on bed or spawn near bed" option so you don't have to mash any buttons. [link] [comments]  | ||

We currently have a group of ~10 that are wanting to restart a fresh dedicated, PvE server today or tomorrow. I'm currently checking availability to see what day/time will work best We are all based out of the US and play very regularly. People will preferably play solo or in groups/ teams of <5 or so. If you have a friend that may want to join, bring them along too! We will help get groups established before launch when possible. Otherwise, people can begin to team up in game. Here's what we're looking for: - Several regular players (most evenings) - Must be willing to play for ~weeks - Must be mature - Voice is preferred (we have a Discord) - No experience necessary Settings (to this point)

| Posted: 13 Apr 2019 10:28 AM PDT Been playing regularly on console (Xbox one X) with my oldest on a co-op random gen. Noticed when loading today the game downloaded a 'sync' update! Does anyone have any news on this??? From some short gameplay I did see: 1) deconstructing vehicles no longer leaves a crater on the ground around it. 2) character will 'warm up' (generate higher temperatures/overheat) when running. 3) poi lights are able to turn on/off I haven't found any release notes on this version.
